Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

It's been a while since I've been on TF, and apologize for it! My turtles seem to be in good shape, though since I've had to move their tank, their habits have changed. I'll keep track of 'em! ;-)

Anybody here sell 3- striped mud turtles?

I wanted a turtle that I know will stay small and be sweet- natured for a permanent indoor aquarium. Anybody have one for sale that isn't expensive? Maybe $20- 30? Plus shipping. Would be willing to pay for it for Christmas. Thanks!

Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

I'll have to see how I can make things turn out. I would have to put a stock tank out back of my place, because I live in a trailer. Because it's so cold right now, I think they'll be happy just to be warm in their 55 gallon aquarium! ;) I have two filters in their tank so the water is being...

Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

Gotcha. They are now in a 55 gallon aquarium, though a larger stock tank would really be nice! I'll do my best for them as I am able to...:)

Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

Thanks. I've studied pictures like this, before, and studied someones' personal observations on the developing male RES, too. I think Sweetie is a boy, but only more time passing will tell for sure. :) Thanks for trying to help me out, #1 Platypus! :D

Believe it or not, Rocky is a Red-foot! :D

Anybody ever hear of a half- monkey tortoise?

My tort Rocky seems to really enjoy climbing around- and he can almost climb like a monkey! I'm having a harder and harder time keeping him in his indoor enclosure that he needs to be in when he can't be out and about. I even have a small enclosure I had built for a couple of pups I had raised...

Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

No, not yet. His carapace is barely 4 inches long, but I'll bet they'll start growing longer, soon, though! :)

Can a Red- eared Slider eat on land, or does it have to be underwater?

I guess so long as you get to see them, it won't really matter. They are doing fine, and I'm beginning to believe the one I named "Sweetie" is a boy! He has a thicker tail, now, than "Snappy" does. Thicker and blunter. Any ideas about that? Snappy's tail is whip-like past her cloaca, but...

There! Got them uploaded! :) The first two look virtually identical, though they were taken several seconds apart. You can tell he/ she decided to splitsville by #3!
