Just out of curiosity, I was wondering if I could keep my red foots on carpet or tile like my other reptiles. They have a mister and a fogger for humidity.
My tortoises are getting a larger enclosure soon, and I was wondering about substrate. Right now they have bio-active substrate that is a mix of soil, orchid bark and coir. I used it because I wanted to grow plants. Well, in the new enclosure I won't be growing plants so should I stick with...
has anyone made an enclosure out of this type of Pvc? It would be for a red foot.

soon, I'm going to be building my torts a huge indoor enclosure, and I was wondering if there's a practical way to add a filtered pond? Maybe even a waterfall type feature? The enclosure is going to measure 8'x4'x28" tall. I want to make it taller, but it needs to fit through my door.
Hi
I have a cherry head with three extra scutes on one side, and I've noticed they're starting to pyramid a little. The other side of her shell is smooth. Is it normal for extra scutes to pyramid? Is there something I can do to prevent it?
i want to order some cactus got my red foots, but since I only have two babies I'm worried it'll go bad and I'll waste money. What's the best way to keep it fresh? I would plant it, but I'm in an apartment, and I'm a serial plant killer.
I'm converting a dresser that measures 48x30 into an enclosure for my baby red foots. I want to add a second level. What's the easiest way to do this? Can you please post some pictures of double level cages so I can get ideas?
Thank you!
Hi guys
I bought my torts an aloe leaf to try today. They didn't like it, but I did use some of the gelas a shell and skin moisturizer. Has anyone done this before? It seems to have worked great. They look more hydrated, but they're not shiny like I had used oil.
I just want to share my lovely babies with everyone. I love them so much!!
This was a protein day. They're eating super high quality cat food. One is crill and the other is alligator.

I set up my foots' home last January with bioactive soil and cypress bark. I planted some spider plants an aloe and a tiny Palm. All the plants except for one spider plant aren't doing well. They're turning yellow, and slowly fading away. I think it's be cause the soil is constantly moist...
Is it OK to plant herbs in a Greek Tortoise enclosure. I was thinking of using rosemary, Thyme and lavender because I read somewhere they encounter those plants in the wild.
Hi
About 2 years ago I got my first reptilian pet, a bearded dragon, and absolutely fell in love with them. A few months later I added a leopard gecko to the family. Lately I've been considering getting a pet tortoise. I've been doing some research and have narrowed my choices down to a...
