Help! Speedy ate a camera lens!

Ha! You guys are funny! I think he ate the lens before she got a picture. I asked her why she got so close and she told me she was doing "macro" photography. Suggestions about lube-ing food? I told my daughter that she is on "poop patrol" until further notice.

Help! Speedy ate a camera lens!

Thanks for the advice! His poops are reasonably large in diameter, so maybe he will pass it. Can surgery be done on a tortoise? This is my daughter's pet - I don't know much about them myself. I am the one who looks for help on line when something goes wrong!

    Speedy is missing

Thanks for the words of encouragement. We got a phone call this afternoon from a 6 year old who saw him on his patio. Unfortunately once we got there we found out that the sighting was yesterday. So we looked for about an hour in the rain anyway. This is the last set of houses before a huge...

    Speedy is missing

Hello! I'm glad I found this group. Our 3 year old sulcata tortoise, Speedy, broke out of his outdoor playpen last Tuesday. He was gone at least a couple of hours before we noticed. We put up signs right away. We got a phone call about 10:30 at night about a sighting over 2 hours before, but...
