My tortoise pen is roughly an 10 by 8 enclosure consisting of rocks, plastic feeding area (for easy cleaning and to prevent accidental substrate meals) a water dish, and 2 boxes (for him to explore and sleep)
Recently he has been inside of his smaller box most of the day, only movement seen is...
Okay, recently i saw To-To yawm (It was adorable)
and i saw these seed like orange things on his tounge, and anything like that isnt by his pen, so what is it?
Ah To-To, your cuteness never ceases to amaze me
As you can probably tell, his pen is crap, we have him in his first pen until we remodel his newest pen, with more crap for To-To to play with!
Okay, this is mainly a joke topic but this is what happened
i was picking up To-To to soak him, and i saw a strand of hair sticking out a side of his head, it was adorable, it pulled out with ease, he didnt try to retract to his shell or anything
im assuming a peice of hair got stuck under his...
Alright, i know tortoises cant really fart, when they do it comes out with their poop anyways
but To-To was chowin down on some romain lettuce, then all of the sudden i hear what sounds like a
Wet Fart? Donald Duck Drowning?
it sounds really stupid, but thats the best way i can put it
Every once in a while while im feeding To-To he starts to poop, i go and get ready to get a paper towel and then the poop is, just not there!
so one time i noticed him to start pooping and watched him, after a few seconds of pushing poop out, he quit and it went back inside of his cloaka
Recently i have been mindlessly staring at my tortoise while he was asleep, and he started moving around, it was about 10 minutes later he opened his eyes, most adorable thing ever
I already know when a tortoise sticks his head inside his shell it makes a hissing sound, sometimes
i was carrying him back to his pen so he could sleep and he just randomly got scared and stuck himself in his shell for a good 10 seconds
i checked to see what could of scared him, not a shadow...
Ever since i got To-To ive worried about something to do with one of his claws, on one of his arms the outermost claw is shorter, duller, and a little yellow.
Is he sick or is it normal?
I have owned a my russian tortoise To-To (his name is a pun of turtle) for about half a year now and have been constantly looking up stuff about him so he doesnt get sick
I already know that when he waves his tail he is about to unleash, but this morning i was letting him walk around and he...
