I've been reading and researching like crazy. I know I don't want a sulcata or leopard because of their size. I want to get a hatchling or yearling.

I just wanted to make sure before I bought lights that the coiled/compact UVB bulbs (link below) are not good for torts because they cause eye problems...

So using a florescent tube for UVB it would also give more UVB exposure over the whole habitat correct? Do the tubes deteriorate UVB slower or faster than the bulb?
