    I use to have coco soil as my substrate but i changed it because my tortoise use to get it in her eyes and i thought it might damage them. thanks for the photos and advice, its really helpful :). I might use coco soil from now on.

    yeah, 350 grams sounds more like it... :oops: :D I provide her with lots of hanging vines and leaves which she digs under, but I could probably do with more. thanks :)

    . I don't have proper reptile scales so I brought some kitchen scales and that's the measurement that showed. can I use kitchen scales to measure her?

    We'll If mean "DIG" as she sits in the substrate and kicks her back legs to make a shallow pit and she then kicks all the substrate on top of her so you can't see her then I guess she "DIGS".so no she doesn't burrow.     I know I've had pickles, my red footed tortoise for only a few months , but i would really like another tortoise. I would like another red foot but I don't know if pickles would get along with the tortoise? :confused: what do you think?
