When does a tortoise usually start hibernating? Mine seems like he's trying to start. He won't eat pee or poop won't stop sleeping, but I wake him up now and then cause this is my first winter with him so I am worried, when I wake him up I soak him and he eats a little but straight back to...
Planted some clovers and the tortoise is loving it. He now has 2 grasses, opuntia cactus, clovers, aloe, and everything else I feed him he loves the clovers though that seems to be his favorite besides kale
My tortoise seems very inactive recently comes out to eat then goes back to sleep all day, I've been feeding him kale, dandelion greens, and collard greens. And he has some grass planted in there to eat. I've also been soaking him for 30 minutes daily. Any suggestions?
My soil is pretty dead. Pretty much just dirt very hard to grow anything. Anything I can do that's safe for my tortoise to kinda bring it back to life?
I have 2 spots to hide, Mexican feather grass, grape vine, spider plant, aloe, and opuntia cactus! Also a dish for water, and I feed him some other greens on the side.
Finished the 6x8 enclosed planted some aloe, grape vine and opuntia cactus! I'll plant more and maybe a corner of grass. Tortoise is a lot happier and more active being outdoors!
I read that aloe is a good one along with grape vine and I got a opuntia cactus, would a black monukka seedles grape be fine? And a golden toothed aloe?
What are some fun things that'll give some spice to the enclosure just built a 6x8 outdoor enclosure and it's pretty boring inside he just had what he needs in there, anything I can add that's a decent price to make him abut an about and be less bored?

We're having that huge San gorgonio fire and my town is pretty smoked out. I JUST finished my outdoor enclosure what would you say I do? Keep him inside for now? Or would he be fine out?
