I will be using this thread to slowly add new and old pictures of my tortoise Tortuga, an almost two year old sulcata. It'll be very inconsistent in regards to posting schedule but for the most part I will try to keep it very aesthetic.
Pictures will include things like Tortuga's outdoor...
About three weeks until my little Tortuga is 2 years old. He's breaking the scale and 10.5". Just wondering if anyone would be willing to take a guess at what her sex is?
Thanks Yvonne! I'm saving up money to build an 8' x 24' enclosure out of landscaping ties from Lowes. It means a lot seeing as how "it" was kind of an impulse buy and a day of research. So thankful for all the TFO members who have given me great advise and gotten us where we are [emoji4]
Sorry for the long wait, but seeing as how it's almost been a year and I've been browsing old threads I figured I'd let you know that worries are over. He's 800g at least by now and I got him an upgrade about 2-3 months ago. I've also changed his name a few times [emoji13] but mostly it is...
Weird. Wonder why it's like that? Kyoshi's gular is flat. (Don't have any plastron pictures so I'm not sure how well you can see it) Maybe it's an early sign of sex (M/F)? Or just a little something different, like being miss-scuted?
This is some kind of jasmine isn't it? Is it safe for a sulcata? Also I've been trying to find some kind of tree that would be safe for my sulcata and provide shade. I was looking at a mimosa or a mulberry because I know they are safe, but I was wondering if a Japanese red maple is safe?
