    Temperatures

Very interesting story, what species of cuora was this? I heard a similar story regarding the breeding of Australian pythons. The heat went out during a winter storm and the temperature drop stimulated breeding.

    New Forstenii hatchlings

The blonde one is nice! Too bad that color will change as it grows. I do have one that has kept an intense yellow as well as a couple that have a nice orange color still. Those animals are 1-5yrs of age now.

    Dance card, second result

Congratulations on the ova! Refresh my memory as to how long these animals have been in your care? No short diapause for them, they go straight into the incubator or simply on the shelf. I think @tortadise is thinking of our kinixys homeana discussion. They will hatch at temps from 76-87f. I've...

    Got rats?

Yes the forstenii loved mice or rats when offered. Other items they enjoyed were shrimp, squid, and land snails. The only meat offered these days is a lean ground turkey mix that I make for my cuora and kinixys. They get this a few times a year.

Over ten years in the making...

Took weights&measures on the little one today. 51.4grams&6.5cm scl. I must say this is one cool turtle who's very content sitting in the corner a vast majority of the time.
