Hi guys, i am selling my Redfoot tortoise Speckles. He is around 3 years old. Comes with all accessories. £300 ono Doncaster UK. Ideally must be someone who has a car due to not being able to drive myself. Will send some pictures if interested
blowing bubbles out of the nose can be a sign of problems in the respiratory area so i would advise finding a good tortoise vet in your area and getting him checked. I cannot advise any vets as i am from the UK; but hopefully someone from the USA will help you
I used the Betadine twice and am now using the Chlorhexidine when i soak her. Speckles was ready for some new substrate anyway, her old substrate was full of snow fleas so i am going to get her some fresh. Speckles ate later on that day after i had posted on here and is eating like she normally...
Here is a photo of the affected area today. It is starting to look like normal shell again underneath and is lots better than what it was on Monday. It still has a slight chalky look to it around the edges but i am positive that it will be cleared up soon. (Sorry about the poor quality photo it...
Thanks cdmay. i didnt get a picture of her shell, but my mum had seen pictures of shell rot on this forum so we are pretty sure that is what it is. We have caught it early as it is only a very small area that is affected. We started treatment yesterday with Betadine and tomorrow we are going to...
I have just been checking Speckles as she hasnt eaten today and my mum has noticed a small area of Shell rot. Does this explain why she hasnt eaten today? I am going down to the Vets shortly to get some Betadine and Chlorhexidine to treat it, but how long do i need to do the treatment for? I am...
it is normal for him/her to be hiding a lot, especially if you have only had him/her for a few days, it can take them a while to adjust to new environments. Try him/her with different things, you will soon discover what they like and what they dont like. There is a good website created by...
Hi Jason;
When i bought my RF about 3 months ago, she did not eat properly for a few days and i did not see her poop for at least a week. It is completely normal for them, they get stressed out very easily. I am sure he will settle down soon enough. enjoy ur new RF, they are a pleasure.
My redfoot has climbed a few times, but generally she is really laid back. My Mum's Hermann is always climbing on top of his hide and throwing himself off the top. If he is hungry he will find the shortest route possible to get to the food bowl and if it involves throwing himself off something...
This is one of my tattoos. I got this when i split up with my fiancee to help me remember that things get better. It actually helped me lots and i am glad that i got it
Lol, i was surprised that i actually found it fascinating to watch her with the live one i gave her. She grabbed it and as she grabbed it, it moved and she dropped it because it scared her. She got it in the end though lol. It seemed obvious to me that she had never seen one before in her life...
