The one on the left hatched 3 weeks ago. The one on the right hatched Thursday. I'm amazed at how fast they grow! They're thriving!

Hey everyone! We just hatched our first baby and now waiting on the other 2 eggs to hatch.
The baby is completely out of his egg shell and is walking all over the place in the incubator. My question is where do I go from here?

Do I take him out and put him in a separate enclosure or do I...
I'm kind of concerned and hopefully someone can help me here. On July 18, my Redfoot female Shelly laid 3 eggs. About 4 weeks later, she started her restless behavior like she's going to lay again.
All of last week through today, shes lightened up on the restlessness and is eating good again...
My female redfoot is becoming restless again and she is patrolling the perimeter like she did before she found her nesting spot to lay her eggs. The only thing is that my male RF keeps seeking her out and mounting her. Will that stress her out to where she won't want to lay? And should I...
We just received him about an hour ago. He's an adopted rescue from ATC. Other than the pyramiding, he seems really healthy and personable. He's going to make a great addition to our colony

I'm adopting this 10" male tomorrow from ATC. He has some pretty good pyramiding from when he was rescued 2 years ago. I was told that this tort was raised indoors on strictly dog food. ATC took him in as a rescue 2 years ago and put him on a real redfoot diet. They claim his new growth is...
My baby Panzer has finally acquired a taste for yard grass. He's eating it like crazy now. Only he won't pick it and eat himself yet, but If I pick it and put it on his plate with nothing else, he wears it out! I think he's around 3 months old now and growing fast and smooth. :)
Is there any evidence that Mazuri tortoise food helps accelerate growth in a young tortoise? I have someone on Facebook that swears to that and I was wondering if this is accurate information. All of my torts are being feed Mazuri with other types of weeds, grasses, and vegetables on a regular...
It pains me to see people who go into a pet store and buy a tortoise or tortoises on impulse. A lot Of the time they buy or find a all aquarium, throw sand and miracle grow pitting soil In it, buy tortoise pellets and feed them iceberg lettuce. Maybe on occasion, put a 100w heat bulb on a clamp...
Here he is one month ago

My large outdoor enclosure has a dark muddy spot under an upper deck hide box. That being said, my 3 adult redfoots try to race to that dark muddy spot to lay in a mud hole that they wallered out. It is very wet and muddy under there. My fear is that too much of that will result in shell rot...
Last week I took JD's advice and planted a food plot of wild bird seed inside my baby Sulcata's outdoor enclosure. A major hit! He is wearing that stuff out! All kinds of little goodies sprouted up and he loves them! :)
I have been caring for my tortoises for 5 years and so far my torts are good and healthy with good diets and husbandry. That being said, I'm new to this breeding process if you can't already tell by my other thread in this breeding forum.
I just called my local petsmart looking for a incubator...
I have someone on my Facebook that is insisting that pro plan cat food is identical to Mazuri. I haven't compared ingredients but is this pretty accurate or is it bs?
I have a 5+" female redfoot for sale. We're asking $100 plus shipping. She is VERY personable and is not shy at all. :) i will send pics via email.
Thanks,
Ron Hays
Do cactus pads have any nutritional value? I want to order some from someone but would like to know if it's a healthy food or if it's just mainly water based. Thanks
My wife wants me to trim the tall grass with the weedeater. I'm thinking about leaving it because the torts love to walk around in it. Trying to stimulate some sort of natural habitat.
What do y'all think?
