Do box turtles have to aestivate or is it as needed? And is every breed that aestivates or brumates the same on this matter?

So my mother in law has a pond behind her house, and the turtles from the pond love her garden. Once a year I have to relocate at least one. I’ve moved a small snapping turtle, a hatchling wood turtle(I think) and this one. Does anyone know what breed it is?
