I thought about putting a liner in it and no I won't be doing the plexiglass but I won't keep them extremely dry either not that horse fields need that that much moisture/humidity anyway...
My handy man put that blue stuff in there I guess just to give me a visual on how it will look with substrate in it...yes this is one of three that's being built for me...
Lol the floor is a little slippery at times for them but they are used to it bye now. yes I keep water in the enclosure but I never see them drinking so I'm just a little over protective when it comes to that and Thank you I'm really enjoying my little herd I have.
Picked up a few goodies for the herd this evening. They don't care for fruit but I give them watermelon or cantaloupe which is a water base fruit and when they eat that it insures me that they are retaining enough water..
From my understanding the tortoise shell will eventually replenish itself. The shell will have a natural shine from the foods you feed them and to my understanding the shell actually has to breath. So with that being said putting any type of oil on the shell would interfere with the breathing...
