Totally! Last year I spent an hour kicking them around to get the seeds out... my neighbors probably thought I had gone insane. Well, they'll definitely be seeing more of it.
I went out to look at them today, and they seem to have sprouted little... things? Don't know if this can clear anything up.
The things are near the top.
Hi everyone!! I have a plant to be identified! Yay!
Location: Massachusetts, USA
Weather: Final snow melted about two weeks ago, been about 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit here since.
Not quite sure what in the world these are. Any suggestions appreciated:)
So here's what was for dinner for my one Greek...
A little bit of spring mix, with the spinach taken out:
Added some cut up cilantro(just a little) and some wheatgrass, then gave it all a good wash.
And here's a picture of the grass I bought (chemical free) and some grass I'm growing in...
So today ALL of the bittercress in my yard sprouted up out of the ground. It seems this sort of thing happens over night, huh? Well, now that I have literally no grass in my yard (mostly bittercress, lol), I thought today would be a good day to feed some bittercress. I picked a good handful...
Yup, seeds shoot everywhere. :) Thank you so so much!! It has completely taken over my yard, so flying seeds would probably explain it... lol
Also, @jake Devoe, I am downloading the app right this very minute!! Thank you everyone:D
Thanks for your thoughts:)
After studying Yvonne G's safe and unsafe plant thread, I think it's either prickly lettuce or broadleaf plantain.
Any thoughts @YvonneG
I also have heard that used coffee grounds are supposed to be okay for fertilizer. Not quite sure if I would want my tortoise eating that though.
I'm honestly not sure about the horse manure, but for my plants I use eggshells and banana peels that have gone through the blender. Yucky, but yummy for plants!
