Thanks for the info. Guess I should have taken better photos. The enclosure is not open top. I took the picture from above before finishing the roof. The big fixture has a che. The other has a bulb for light only. Open looking sides actually have plexiglass over them.
I am so excited to have a Redfoot again. Please disregard the temperature that the thermostat is showing. We had just finished the enclosure and I was excited to get pics. We set up the whole enclosure before the hatchling arrived so it was nice an warm on arrival.

To answer your questions, We have 2 redfoots living in there. We average 70-80% humidity. To help with longevity of the wood and to help moisture in all the board have been painted with exterior paint. And yes it will hold another enclosures. My concern with putting another enclosure on top...
It measures 4x8 for now. We do not use the coil type uvb bulbs because for the potential dangers. There is not yet a uvb set up in this enclosure. They can currently go outside. But we use the long tube type in our other enclosures. Thanks
It has taken a few days to get this far and it is still a work in progress. Any suggestions for what else it needs are greatly appreciated. Best part all of the plants came from my flowers beds!!!
Thank you. It was bought at my local garden shop that grow a lot of their own stuff to sell. But to be safe, (since it is a safe plants for my tortoises,) it will be planted for awhile in my "holding" garden. To give it a chance to detox.
Valentine's new enclosure. I have been researching bioactive substrate and enclosures. This is what I have come up with so far for our new redfoot. Substrate is a mixture of coconut coir, topsoil, and sand. With some mulch around plants. Plants include hosta, kale, lettuce, clover, and grassy...
