If it is a Sulcata look on its back end kind of like the inner thigh if there is a spur there than you have a sulcata. If not sure what I meet then look up pictures of a spur on a Sulcata also called a spur thighed tortoise good luck .
And try to get her to stay warm to help digest . Maybe take out her hide but still can have a plant to go under but will still allow warm rays to keep her warm.
You shouldn't catch and release expecially if it was exposed to other turtles or tortoises, so it should not have been taken into captivity,but I would release it close to the area where it was found.
That's kinda of a bigger tortoise. I think if it's stays warm and humid I would get a cherryhead tortoise or redfoot cherryheads are smaller than redfoots. They are a more of a tropical tortoise that do good in a warm humid environment. They make good pets .

Bummer the best thing is to get one from captive breeder and petsmart and pet Co have all imported tortoise. I ordered my tortoise from turtles and tortoises it's been healthy and parasite free. And recommend them . Good luck too you.
