I'm no Aldabra expert, but I would try some different type of surface when they go outside. Looks like they have a lot of sand and sometimes when they are smaller (and closer to the ground) it is easy for them to inhale a lot of sand. Maybe even just got a few plots of grass?

I also agree with that! Both look female to me as well. Can usually tell by the round cloaca.
