    ALDABRA TORTOISE BREEDER

I was wondering the same thing? Or, is it that the wall retains heat and that is why they stay close to it?

    Closed Chamber Temps

Hi All, I just built a new closed chamber and just want to check my temps. Ambient is 86, cool side is 83 and under the MVB is 100. Temps seem good to me, I just didn't know if the ambient should be higher?

    Spike Update

Gotcha, either Tuck or Trey the tort to the right in the picture, his carpace seems more highly domed than other Sulcata's that I have seen is the only reason I asked. Needless to say, beautiful specimens.

    Spike Update

Yes, you are absolutely correct. Jodie from Spokane Valley Tortoises, she is awesome. She has guided us through this new adventure. Our tortoise is housed in a closed chamber based off of @Tom's design. Thank you for the positive feedback. It is greatly appreciated.

    Spike Update

Hi All, Spike, Spicy, Catchy, (I have three small kids and they each gave our tortoise its own name) is one of @Jodie's babies from 2016. It is just over a year old and weighs 359 grams. I am just checking to make sure all looks well and that we are on the right track?

    Sudan or Sudanese Sulcata Tortoises

Our tortoise is just over a year old and weighs 321 grams as of 7/6/17. We have raised it in a closed chamber and it is super smooth. Our tortoises weight also fluctuates, however, I am not worried because it is growing like a weed and eats like a horse.

    Pop up Indoor Greenhouse Enclosure

Hey Guys, Can anyone tell me where I can purchase one of the pop up green houses that are commonly seen on the forum that people convert into closed chamber enclosures for their tortoises? I don't have a picture, but they usually have a black plastic base that it around 8" tall and I think the...
