Some update: Thank you for the comments, I do kept him separately for closed monitoring, some bubbly nose but not runny eyes (eyes are normal) and I am going to treat him using antibiotic 'terramycin oksitetrasiklin' anyone have used this before? How is the dosed? How many times a day...
Hi all,
I am adding another sulcata so my female one got friend, a male with length of 11 cm and weighed 200 grams.
But I suspected that he got some health issue, probably due to wrong diet at pet shop and also negligence. Upon monitoring at home, breathing is heavy and got some funny...
I moved my sulcata to the new outdoor pen, and she is very happy and do lots of grazing.
Here is the safe house for nite time:

@Maggie: thanks for the information and concern, I got her from June 5, 2011, so probably was fed wrongly from the supplier. Now, started with grass weeds and hibiscus diet plus occasionally opuntia cactus. I managed to find seeds on bermuda and timothy grass, soon will have them available, also...

This is the pic of my sulcata: (sorry...
Guys, thanks for the advice, more input will be great.
@Tom, weeds give me an idea, as sulcata are grazing tortoise, I will try to find the grass that used to feed cows, should be safe enough rite?
@October, thanks for the link, I will try to look at them and deleted the vigna off the diet menu...
Hi all,
I have checked through the list for the diet on sulcata, as we are in tropical country will be a bit hard to find the desert type of diet.
What I fed her for now is mazuri pellet, brassica rapa - parachinensis and pekinensis (napa cabbage) and dandelion leafs and she really fond...
Until now still undecided, as I read from chelonia.org care sheet in one instance the female stayed guarding the eggs for 20 days, for my case I will just monitor them closely see how it goes, I probably have to remove all the other turtles living together with them for temporary (will they...
