Here's my current redfoot setup. I still have a couple of things to do
*Strip UVB light will be here tomorrow
*I will be HVAC taping the open wire around the heat light and UVB
*Plexiglass will be on top of the other side to hold in heat and humidity
Thoughts?
Hi All! We are looking for a Redfoot for our school. We have started an initiative to include animals within our school day. We have already hatched and are raising our own chickens. Now we want to add a tortoise. I personally have my own Redfoot that I've raised from a baby and she is 6 years...
So my RF is a little over 5" and she lives outside. Her enclosure is 13' long and 3' wide. Is this big enough for her? If you look at the picture, she's inside the part with the lattice covering. I definitely have room to expand her enclosure, just not sure if it's time yet. Thoughts?
These are our three pets:
Yoshi, our Redfoot Tortoise
Blaze, our Northern Blue Tongue Skink
Shadow, our Brazilian Black Tarantula
All of them visit my 4th Grade classroom regularly. I love educating about animals and giving students a chance to love unique pets!
So I have tried for 2 years now to grow spineless prickly pear cactus to no avail. I must be doing something wrong. I live in South Georgia so climate shouldn't be an issue. Can anyone help?
I need some serious help/advice to treat my Redfoots shell fungus. I treated in July with Betadine once and athletes foot cream for two weeks and kept them on paper towels. I gave it some time and now it seems like it is worse. They live outdoors on top of cypress mulch. Left picture from July...
I have 4 redfoot tortoises. They are still young but I was wondering what size outdoor heated house I would need to accommodate all 4 of them when they are all full grown. I live in South Georgia. We don't have a lot of cold nights but we have some so I want to be prepared.
