So I had posted a picture of my enclosure some time ago for my Russain Tortoise know as Rammus. One problem was my UVB tube lighting was too low as it is a T8 10% UVB light just wanted to see if the height is now fine.
So firstly my Russian tortoise has been very inactive this past week before then he would wake at 11am to 12am and go into his log to sleep around 6pm 7pm inbetween that time he would wander his table doing his own thing, but recently he would wake around 1pm 2pm bask for a bit eat and go sleep...
So I was wondering what sort of plants I can grow in my tortoise enclosure and the specifics of it such as, will it need a different substrate?, will I need to water it often? and if it is safe for my little RT, Rammus.
So I recently bought a microclimate model dl1 thermostat but like an idiot before reading the manual I started messing with it now I can't get it back to the default temps and don't know which way to turn it for the temps can anyone help?

My Russian tort is 8 months and i know it is essential for them to be soaked on a daily for 15-30 mins in luke warm water i also know it is just as good to keep a water bowl in there enclosure i do both of these but i have read the chemicals such as chlorine in tap water is bad for the tortoise...
My RT, Rammus, cna never hold his bowl when eating his food and keeps excreating in his food bowl is this natural and if it isn't how can i prevent this? Also if it is natural hiw can I prevent this as it is a big hassle always cleaning his food bowl lol
