I use exoterra Solar Glo light bulbs for my tortoise but they keep popping every 2/3 months and they’re quite expensive, I was wondering if anyone could recommend a bulb similar but that isn’t so expensive Thanks x

Hi all, this will be the second year I’ve had my tortoise and I’m thinking of trying hibernation this winter but I’m unsure on how to start it and really when and what do to begin it. Minty is only small and is around 3 years old. Any advice and hints will be greatly appreciated

Should heat lamps be a certain distance from the tortoise table? My tort doesn't ever like being directly under his basking spot and his substrate underneath seems very hot, should I raise my light further up? What distance is best?
