    Ginko Biloba Tree, edible?

My grandmother has a 30-35 lb female Sulcata and wants to know if it is safe to plant a ginko biloba tree near her enclosure? Meaning, if she eats anything off/from the tree, will it be harmful to her Sulcata? Thanks y'all!

My sulcata's plastron, normal or not normal?

Is it dragging either of it's extremities on one side? Or do they seem weaker? One eye lid failing to open and/or close in comparison to the other? I've seen in humans, where if someone who is not done growing has a stroke (rare), it can stunt growth on one side.

Moving to Tallahassee Florida from Ohio

I live in Florida. Your tort will LOVE the massive amounts of chickweed that is everywheeeere lol. Mine is crazy for it. Also thistle, wild dandelion, wandering jew, and St.Augustine grass too! And hibiscus trees grow amazingly well here, so make sure to plant some. Do not plant or have any...

    Male or Female?

I wanted y'alls opinion as to whether Isla looks to be male or female? She is 6.25 inches long (29 months old & 749 grams), and I thought maybe she/he is finally big enough to accurately sex?

    10 month old sulcata size

He looks younger than 10 months, just in general appearance. However old he/she is though, it looks beautiful, so keep up the good work.

    10 month old sulcata size

When I adopted mine last April, she was 20 months old and only 273 grams. Now, at 29 months old, she is almost 800 grams. They go through spurts, I believe. Have you had yours since it was a hatchling? It looks nice and smooth.

    Sluggish - need advice.

Yes, my lighting is all actually stuff you recommended about 5 months ago - full spectrum UVB, and flood light for basking, as well as CHE's for night time. And I put everything on a timer like you recommended as well, and have it set to stay on (the day lights) about 12.5 hours a day. I think...

    Sluggish - need advice.

Awe, glad you realized it came unplugged. Isla's temps have been staying pretty consistently in the ranges I mentioned, though. And she's not cool to the touch or anything when I place my hand on her. That's why I'm a little baffled.

    Sluggish - need advice.

Hey, everyone. My Sulcata tortoise, Isla, is 28 months old. I got her in April of 2017. She hadn't been very well taken care of, but has almost tripled in weight since I adopted her. She is usually very active, eats a ton and poops even more. But lately, she has been very sluggish. Mostly...

    Sulcata enclosures

And do you have a hygrometer, to measure humidity?
  19. Bass.Isles

    Sulcata enclosures

Okay, there's a way for them to retreat to a slightly cooler temp though, right? Like maybe 88 or 89°? And a basking spot that's like 100° or so? You might wanna ask @Tom about how to accomplish those temps (that they need, require) though, in enclosures of your size.

    Sulcata enclosures

Sounds good. Do you have a temp gun? What size enclosure do they each have access to? I can't tell quite how big the spaces are.
