So they sent the wrong table and it does not fit with the table tent. I had already filled the table with dirt/potting soil/plants/everything but the tortoise and therefore must keep it. It is rectangular not square. I’m having a hard time finding a table tent for a rectangle and need to move...
Also- does anyone have any good suggestions for bridges or other things for her to climb on? Now that she has to come inside for the year I want to keep her happy and not bored! Looking for fun things to put into her habitat to keep her entertained.
Thanks in advance guys!
@Elohi do you have any insight for me? I'm putting it together Friday and am wondering how to hang lights, especially the uv light (it's a long strip not a bulb light) . I couldn't find anything in your thread.
Thanks!
It has metal posts but I haven’t put it all together yet so I’m not sure how the frame works. Do you think cable ties will be sturdy enough? What about for a long uv light?
Great idea with the bamboo! Ordering those now! Thank you!
Hello! I am upgrading my redfoot into a larger habitat. It’s a raised garden bed with a tent enclosure to help keep in the humidity. I’m a little uneasy on how this all goes, as I have only dealt with tanks in the past. Does it need a boarder? If so, any suggestion on a type? I was looking at...
He is really cute! I am now looking into “shell saver”! Have you heard of “Lous Pet Shop” here in metro Detroit? They have a Sulcata named Frankie that walks around the store with a webcam on his back. One of the friendliest torts I have ever met.
Hello! Thank you! She was very sick last year and there was a time we weren’t sure if she would make it. But she did and is now thriving!
We were supposed to have a lot of wind today too, but it ended up not being too bad. What kind of tort do you have?
Hello from Loretta! It’s been awhile! It’s been a long winter for us. She is doing great but hasn’t gained as much weight as I had hoped. Currently about 156 grams. Eating like a champ though! Excited for summer and outdoor time.
This has helped! She currently is in a 40 gallon and will be growing out of it in the next few months. While I'm constantly searching craigslist for 75-100 gallons, I'm also looking for a DIY design plan that I can easily add onto and keep in a central location in our house.
I just want to be...
So what does your habitat look like? Pictures! I want her indoor and outdoor habitats to look not only appealing to the tortoise eye, but the human eye as well. :)
