From the photo appears to be field bind weed, wild morning glory. It is not safe to feed. Does it get white flowers if not pulled? long white roots?
Very hard to control.
hard to tell for sure but appears to be knotgrass, polygonum aviculare, sometimes also called knotweed or prostrate knotweed or one of the related summer annual weeds. I am not sure on the safety for tortoises.
Nephrolepis exaltata aka boston fern is safe to use in enclosures from everything i have read.
It is also my understanding that bromaliads are safe. Tortiose table lists the family Bromeliaceae and the air plants, Tillandsia, as safe.
I know most bromaliads are supposed to be safe for cats and...

I am fairly positive the tortoise table is UK based. I know i have to look some plants up by latin names as the common names I know in the midwest US are different. I would also add dont be scared to post pictures here to get help in identifying any you cant...
What type of tortoise do you have?
that is ground ivy. Toxic according to the tortoise table web site. can be very hard to control in a lawn.

There is also a little bit of wild violets in that picture as...
after posting this i went and did some reading on why and ran into oxalates which i have read up on before. Means i will probably let the tort have some but keep most of the purslane for myself. Probably my favorite mid summer salad green.
Is purslane safe to feed? tortoise table has it on the do not feed http://www.thetortoisetable.org.uk/plant-database/viewplants/?plant=321#.WUeimWjyvIU
I was sad when i saw that originally as i eat a lot of purslane once we get into the heat of summer.
I dont even know you would need to crush them up finely when feeding to a tortoise. The reason the eggs are crushed when feeding back to chickens is so they dont look like eggs. Many also bake the shells at 350 for about 10 min. This does make the shells easier to crush by hand and is supposed...
diatomaceous earth is my go to for ants. It is for most any type of insect control. diatomaceous earth is a super fine crushed fossil that is very jagged. When insects get in on themselves it causes micro wounds causing the insect to dehydrate to death. Being a super fine, jagged powder it is...
Well i do know my chickens do not have parasites. I currently only have a small back yard flock for some fresh eggs and have kept chickens many years now. I never would think of housing them together was more asking if anyone has had them share the same pasture. The chickens have thier own coop...
Hello I acquired a sulcata three weeks ago. I am fairly experienced at keeping reptiles and so said yes when asked if I would take a baby in. The first week i thought i was doing well till my continued research taught me much of what i thought i knew was false. So for two weeks now i have had...
