So, I pre-prepare the food for my sulcata so It's easy to give him a diverse diet without to much hassle. In the mix I include
-Collard
-Romaine lettuce
-Dandelions (flowers and weeds)
-Clovers
-Other weeds
-Grass
-Some nutritious melon bites

Tortoises have so many species and sub-species! So out of all of the tell your favorite species of tortoise and if possible sub-species. I would hear what everybody has to say. Let the War begin!
My 10 month old Sulcata has seemed to be suing great. Perfect terrarium and diet, but recently I've noticed about millimeter or so bumps around each Scute. So should I not worry to much or take action? Please help!!!
So, I feed my tortoise a mix of Collard Greens,Romaine Lettuce, and dried up grass. Is this a good staple or should I change it up? Leave suggestions of great tortoise foods.
P.S- Is fiber, and protein good or bad for Tortoises, because the Collard I feed him has a bit of both.
Question 1: So, recently I saw a video of a Sulcata x Leopard tortoise hybrid. That made me wonder, that is the tortoise was relatively the same size as each other, and had similar husbandry could they mate, and have hybrid babies?

Keeping reptiles is so much fun but you know what isn't? Worrying that one day your heat lamp will fall or over heat and burn you'r whole house down along with your tortoise. It seriously worries me all the time...:(

So it's getting to be really nice outside and I was wondering if every other or three days I could put him outside in a large rubbermaid container with hay, a hide, and a screen on top to prevent predators from getting to him. I think it's a good idea what about you guys?
