Both are females. While pyramiding by itself won’t affect egg laying, it does show that they haven’t had the best care. I would possibly suspect dehydration along with kidney stones due to the obvious lack of humidity.

That looks like MBD along with the severe pyramiding. Its anybody's guess whether or not these torts could breed and produce offspring after how they've been raised.

I agree not healthy tortoise. With how pyramided they are and Indian stars being so prone to stones I would guess these will both end up needing surgery For stones. I would pass If it was me

I had a large female star that I suspected had MBD. The rear portion of her carapace was deformed and appeared as though it had collapsed, similar to the first picture of yours, but her pyramiding wasn't as bad. She laid a lot of viable eggs for me. I have one of her hatchlings still and it is growing very smoothly and normally.

As others have said there really isn't a way to tell if they are cable of laying eggs just by looking at them from pictures. I am not 100% convinced on the sex of the second one. Can you show another picture of the tail and get a good shot of the supracaudal scute?

The smaller one may be a male witch is not a problem I do not currently work with Indian stars but if it was a pair I am ok with that problem is as of right now I have no way to get them still figuring that out

I would consider these as very high risk. The angle of the pyramiding is worsening over time, not improving, so suggesting the poor care was more recent.

If it were me I’d pass regardless of price.
