I did basically a 40gal with plexiglass top except right around the light. Still adjusting light to get the right temp. New hygrometer I bought isn't working so I'll have to get a new one in the morning. Hide is a sand grey terracotta pot. Temps reading 76 on cool side and 82 on warm side. Basking spot is 86, I think I will have to lower the CHE.

So, it seems he loves his new house. He loves the Wandering Jew. I think he figured out his water dish since it was dirty this morning. Andy says thanks guys!20150511_093113.jpg

So, the humidity is 86%. After 12 hours the temp had maintained at 76, 82, and 86. So, I switch out my 60w CHE with a 100w and am waiting on the temp to raise. If the higher wattage doesn't work, I'll lower the light fixture.

When I spray his tank down, if he gets wet at all he screams, is this normal? He's very vocal anyway, just wondered.

If you put your che on a thermostat that will keep the temps even

The temp is staying constant but I'm having trouble getting the temp high enough. Its 84 on the warm side and 78 on the cool side. Basking spot is 89-90. I just need it up a bit more.

Have you tried lowering the che or bulb a little - but be careful you don't burn your baby.

I did but I think I need to lower more. I'll have to remove the screen to lower any more. I covered the rest of the screen with plexiglass.

I've yet to hear my leo scream....I've only had him a couple of months and he's older but that is a question I'm interested in hearing the answer to. Perhaps another leo owner can chime in? I hate to keep bugging @Tom but I know he has leos.

I hope this works. He's squeaking in this video several times. At the very end, he makes a loud squeak as I shut the camera off.

This is what I call his screaming. He freaks out and squeals. Like a little tiny high pitch whistle. Maybe most people can't hear it, I hear higher than I'm supposed to.
