Hi!
We started the process of building a 60x60’ (approx) yard for my 5 tortoises!
It was supposed to be closer to 60x72 but the grading we had done was the biggest we could get. We are still trying to tweak it to maximize the area.
I’ll put up progress pics as we go!
I honestly have anxiety about the whole thing. It’s just overwhelming to me.

Starting to dismantle old enclosure.

Our backs are a little or should I say a lot stiff tonight. We worked from 8-7:30pm. Hopefully back at it tomorrow depending on the rain.
We have about 50’ of panels, posts and gate to do.
Then, divide up for the 5 torts. Plus, a water line and electricity.
Trying to get a majority of it done because my husband has this thing that’s called a job and he already took Friday off for me.

When I see folks using tractors and trucks to construct a tortoise pen, and having an abundance of free space to build on, well, I get more than just a little jealous. That is going to be spectacular...thanks for sharing the pictures with us.

Wow, that is going to be great. What kind of tortoises will you have in there?

One Sulcata who will get about half,
2 Ca deserts and 2 red foot.

And of course, I need to to divide it all up!! Can you imagine if we could just throw them all together? Life would be so much easier!

Lol! I get totally understand!!

Thank you! The rain has stopped the project. It’s a muddy ice rink. More rain this week so I’m very disappointed [emoji17]

Aahh, and here I was looking forward to more pics. Sigh I guess I am just going to have to be patient. But from what I have seen so far, it is going to be spectacular!!

Thanks Carol!

I made a small cinder block area for one of the red foot and she was sinking in the mud and my foot got suctioned in while I was grabbing her. Yikes! I put her away and wash my flips and feet.

Moving heated houses was fun but for one we used the old Roman style with 5 PVC pipes.
