Does anyone know the average weight of a female 3 toed box turtle?
Or a male ornate box turtle?
My female is at 408 grams and my male is at 356 grams, is this normal?

I've always gone by "feel" with all my turtles and tortoises. If they feel like a shell full of air, they're probably pretty dehydrated or very hungry. If they feel like a rock, or a shell full of water, then they're ok.

I do the same, if they feel like a brick they are good, it's amazing how much water weight they have, dehydrated turtles feel light then they drink they can almost feel 2x as heavy

They seem to be decently heavy to hold, thanks for the feedback!

My heaviest female adult three toed is 606 grams and my lightest is 411 grams. My heaviest male adult ornate (ornata ornata) is 385 grams and my lightest is 349 grams. Hope that's helpful. :)
