OK guys, so my RF babies are 6 months old on Aug 1st! I can't believe
it. Anyways, right now they are in a 3 ft x 1.5 ft sterilite
under-bed tubberware container....

A few questions.

-6 months is when I add real substrate, right? Right now, they eat on
a plastic lid that is on a washcloth. On either side (basking and
hide side) they have a fluffy amount of sphagnum moss directly on the
plastic (no sand/bed a beast, ect)...
Is this when I do the 50/50 bed a beast + play sand or are they okay
with just the moss?? Is 3 ft x 1.5 ft big enough for now or should I
upgrade?

- I recently purchased TNT- how many times a week should I be adding this?

- I have NOT given them any animal protein except a few hardboiled egg
chunks and a few chicken chunks (maybe 3 times in their life). Is 6
months where they start the 1x a week animal protein diet? Turtletary
says catfood, Vicki says worms... which is easiest? (And easiest to
find/purchase for that matter)

- I've included some pics, Could y'all look at them- I am a little
worried about CARMEN who is a piggie- does her shell look like
beginning pyramiding to you guys? Sorry the pics are crappy, but my
camera is old and I am FAR from a photog. Do they look healthy from
what you can see?

- Any tips on how to photograph the babies better??

THANKS SO MUCH! I know its alot...

Annie

Go to Photobucket.com and create an account. (its free) Then when you want to post a picture just copy the IMG and paste it to your post.

Look under yearling housing and diet and it will give you all the info for your 6 mo. old babies.
I couldn't see the pictures very well, but she looks OK to me.

Sorry I couldn't see your pictures. :(

Why is it an either or with the cat food and the worms? Why not do both? The worms tend to be a bit more "natural" and ones like the butter and phoenix worms are good sources of calcium. If you go with the catfood, be sure to get the brand/type recommended. Cat foods are no where near created equal.
