. . . so I thought I'd take some pictures for you all

My Russians were ready to get out of their hibernaculuum. When I first set it up in the fall the leaves fill the area halfway up. They decompose and settle throughout the winter:

Three of the babcocks were sunning in the doorway:

And I guess I'm going to have to break out the mower and help them cut down their jungle:

Two of the gulf coast box turtles are getting with the program, the problem being, both of these are the males in the group:

The male florida softshell:

And Charlie following me around the yard:

With all this lush, green grass Dudley's poops are fairly soft and squishy:

While the 'master' sits on his front porch taking the sun:

I wish you could smell this lilac:

The Texas ladies are out and about:

while their 'man' is still trying hard to wake up:

Mi-Shell is one of the first CDT to get out into the sun:

spring 2020 t.jpgspring 2020 u.jpg

This one has wandered clear over to the other side of their yard (I've got lots of mowing to do in here too):

Duc, the wild caught Manouria emys emys (the female was still inside her shed):

Several of the SA leopards had ventured out. This is only one portion of their yard:

This is BenAwes. He's a couple years younger than my 2010 Tom SA male:

spring 2020 aa.jpg

And these next few were purchased online, sight unseen. They're all younger than BenAwes:

spring 2020 bb.jpgspring 2020 cc.jpgspring 2020 dd.jpg

This is the other portion of the SA yard. It's behind their shed, but I have the entry blocked off because they don't go back into the shed when it cools of in the evening and I can't find them out there:

That’s was a great tour! I love the Florida soft shell! I used to see soft shells here on the banks of our rivers and always had a fondness for them... you’ve got an amazing place!

Too bad I couldn't have taken a picture of the female for you. She's three times bigger than he is.

It looks so amazing!
Yeah, until you realize YOU'RE the one who had to mow it. When grass gets that long it is no longer palatable to the tortoises. They'd much rather be grazing on shorter, newer blades.

But, thank you. I'm very pleased that I was able to set this up for my animals.

You must have a ton of energy with that many kids. It is like a zoo of torts. Lol?
Not anymore. This was all done 25 or so years ago. It's all old and rotting and needs replaced, but this old body just doesn't have the oomph anymore to do the fixing up. A couple years ago I told my tortoise partner I need to thin down the collection, so he took the larger Manouria home with him. Trouble is, he brought nine other tortoises in their stead. Woe is me!
