Oh my gosh that species makes pretty babies. How long has it taken you to have hatching success with this species?

Awesome to see the variation in these three specimens. I am going to go out on a limb and guess that he first two are forstenii and the third hatchling in the separate pic is elongata... For whatever that's worth haha.

They are pretty rare. There are only a 70ish Indotestudo forstenii in the the US stud book, and he has two of them (I think) pictured here, entering the world, thanks to him. That's why Ben is a superstar, and also why I am a huge fan of his.

Thanks for the compliments.

The top two are I.forstenii and the bottm is I.elongata.

It has taken several years to succesfully hatch elongata, I have had my pair since 2008.

I have been breeding forstenii for about ten years now.

They're so cool! I love the patterns on their shells! It's great to see variation in it!
