The tortoise is around 5 months and eats a lot, he is from Maine, but this tortoise is primarily eating grass and they nor anyone around use chemicals. His habitat is pretty much just eco earth and repti bark and he told me he just saw it with the nail missing. No blood and he could not find the fallen nail.
He asked if he should put some antibiotic ointment of some sort.
He does have supplementary calcium and the UVB lamp he uses is a 30 inch 10.0 reptisun tube

Likely nothing, its healed and shouldn't be a problem
But keep an eye out for peeling skin and little yellow bumps.

Yes I also suspected Austwickia as it is more and more common these days. Dont baby sulcatas naturally shed their skin?
Do you know how long exactly can baby tortosies survive with this bacteria? Around 3 months?

they do shed but with aw its different. its so hard to explain. the skin just has the look to it. like a darker more loose kind of skin. almost like the skin is way to big for their body. if toe nails are falling out it could just be one that was damaged but it can also be aw. keep an eye out for anything else, do you see any bumps, swelling or anything going on with the face? with aw the toenails do just fall off. there typically there is no blood. the longest we have had them alive was about 15 months here before we had to humanely euthanize because it got to bad and we had to make that decision.
