I was going to say jimson weed. Never heard of tar vine. Looked it up on GOOGLE, and don't really think it looks like your weed.

This is a hard one. Im pretty good with identifying plants but this one has me stumpped. I wonder if its a Texas native only?

I too looked at tons of Google photos and some do, some don't I'm waiting for it to bloom to know for sure but this is the only answer tort table could give me.

Oh! It is prostrate so I don't think it's Jimson weed. But I need it to bloom for sure.

doesn't quite look like jimson weed...but it does have leaves similar to a creeping vine we have out here in california...googled "tar vine" though, and some pictures looked a little bit like it. You may have to wait for flowers
