Right now my baby black greek has been sick for two days. It wont eat anything or move. It just sleeps all day and only moves little bit when i touch it. Im thinking about going to hospital but since im a student im very broke so im really worried about the money. How much does it usually cost for tortoise to fully checked up by vet and i didnt see my tortoise pissing uric acid. So i think he might have uric acid calculi. Please help thanks!

Hi Kim:

There is no universal fee that vets charge. It varies from vet to vet even in the same city. Plan on about $35 for the exotic exam, maybe $25 for the office visit, then more $$$ for whatever the vet has to do to the animal.

What kind of light are you using?

What is the temp in the habitat?

What are you feeding?

Is there a hiding place in the habitat?

Did the animal eat ok prior to this?
