Hello everyone! We have been very fortunate to adopt a lovely old guy from grandparents. We have been told that he’s around 80years old and we’ve had him for three days now. We’ve built an outdoor enclosure for him which he was exploring around in. It has lots of shady bits and part with a removal glass top so he can heat up (uk weather is temperamental). Yesterday he was hiding a lot which I guess is normal. He also really loves head butting rubber shoes (the shoes came with him) so he’s quite a character! I’m going to hang back and look at him from a distance as I want him to settle, but has anyone got any tips for helping a new (but old) spur thigh settle into a new home? Thanks, Moi. 616C33FE-842C-4E69-8881-15321A176480.png616C33FE-842C-4E69-8881-15321A176480.png

Hi and welcome!

It's cute that his shoe came to you too!

Hello and welcome. Your tort and enclosure look beautiful

I’m guessing you’re in the UK. Have you seen my thread about outdoor accommodation?
