Western Hermann's, Testudo hermanni hermanni, 5", Tuscany locale, studbook registered, young adult female. She produced her first egg this spring has since been introduced to a male and now has two eggs incubating. She could possibly produce more eggs yet this summer and will undoubtedly do so for many years to come. She has been outdoors 24/7 since early May and is very active and healthy.
