Question. Why does the water level have to be at this point? Is it bad for it to be higher than that, and if you can explain for what reason please? I have been doing deeper baths so I am now concerned how it can be bad for my tort. Thank you!
There is more of a drowning risk. Shallow and warm is best.

I dunno … we used to soak our Sully in nice deep warm water (6-8 inches). Of course we stood over & watched every minute of the 20-30 min daily ritual. I used to always float a clean ‘Sully’ sponge in the water as well. Our Sully would float & soak.

Hi, I will keep a weight log, that’s a very good idea. He has fresh food every day and I have calcium and vitamin powder to sprinkle. How often should I sprinkle vitamins and calcium please?
2 or 3 times a week....very light dusting on washed leaves (I use end of teaspoon handle and then tap it to disperse). Also add a cuttlebone to the enclosure as it can be ignored and then suddenly munched.
