I recently picked up a Red Tailed catfish and it got beat up by a cichlid. I moved the catfish into a smaller tank and gave him some meds. Now I'm not sure if I'm supposed do this but I placed the tank into my tortoise enclosure. With the enclosure lid closed the warm water is giving out pretty good humidity. If this is some how not safe for the tortoise please let me know, thanks. ImageUploadedByTortForum1375658393.158766.jpg

The only thing I see wrong is it takes up space for your torts.

You can practically watch those cats grow. He'll outgrow that tank in about a week! :D

I can't see how the situation will hurt anything.

FYI i hope you have a 600gallon stock tank on hand for this guy, they grow to monstrous proportions within a year or two

Look at the red neck side of things catfish are good eating. The bigger the more people you can feed .

As long as your torts are too small to crack the glass somehow I think it's safe :)
