We got our Albino Mississippi Mud in today. He is in perfect shape and strong already tearing into several kinds of food. I've waited a long time to work with these and now I'm on the right path. Thanks for looking.

The shell seems surprisingly dark to me. Is that from environmental staining?

Just a little algae, it will shed off in a few months.

I have always been a fan of the mud/musk turtles. You must have quite the collection of albinos. Thanks for sharing that picture. They have great faces!

You always have the coolest albinos, very cool turtle!

Thanks man! It's going to be another crazy year, new stuff lined up already. Last weekend I dug 242 albino RES eggs in 24 hours, 600 in the last two weeks. Thats just one morph of one species, it's going to be epic!

So crazy. I'm so happy for you. I can't even wrap my head around this one right now.

What's also so cool is that Muds mature so quickly, even quicker than RES, so you could have quite a breeding group before you know it. So awesome.

Adorable albino! His skin color makes his neck look like a wrinkly finger.

I've got a friend in N.E. Florida who's mother picked up a fully adult albino female striped mud turtle a few years ago. She is absolutely perfect in every way and it makes me wonder how she ever survived growing up.
She laid two eggs after being found and he has the one neonate that emerged. It is of course, normal looking.

I knew that Crutchfield had an albino K. baurii a few years back. Anyone know where that ended up?

Crutchfield never had one, Bruce did. He shot those videos a long time ago, way before the koolaid. Bruce just put his name on them after they became partners.

Thank you! I'm very jealous of where you live, I can't wait to go there.
