RE: Aldabra Buddy - naked - CT scans ! (updated with video)

Buddy did a lot of walking Friday and Saturday. Right rear leg able to handle his weight now. So it was the overloaded colon pressing on his nerves that caused the leg issue.

He walks in and out of his tub every evening on his own now. Things are coming along good.. so far.

He didn't come out of his house today because a cold front came in around 7 am. But I walked his *** of the last two days. haha
I bet he was sore today.

Very good. Not to be critical or anything. But adding human emotions to him holds his natural causes back. Aldabras/Galapagos are seed propogators. They do nothing but walk and graze all day on whichever the (species is of these giants) and seek shelter few hours out of the day during middle scorching sun/heat. Muscle development and conditioning is a normal thing for their anatomical beings. They need to walk and walk and walk. Dont worry about him being sore. Placement of "treats" or awe inspiring food is a great rehabilatory tactic to get him to develope good walking, and natural stimulation.

Good thing he is better. Good weather is in route soon. Winter and winter to spring transition is always rough for the giants being cuked up. Walking is their nature. In the wild they have been recorded to walk 50 kilometers in a single sunrise to sunset day. This includes the lull of 4+ hours during the hottest parts of the day, where they seek shade and rest.
