I walked around a local park called: Volunteer Park this morning and spotted in a canal several species of animals.
An ANHINGA. (A swimming bird that eats fish)o
Several species of turtle including painted, maps, soft shell, snapping....but surprisingly NO Red eared Sliders?
And several species of fishes. Very few of them native. Of them were a few Blue Gill.
Also in abundance were Tiger Oscar and white Talapia. Mayan and Convict Ciclids.
A few Jaguar Cichlids and a lone Midas Cichlid.
It looked like a giant fishtank gone wild.
I hope you're able to zoom in and see some details.
The photo quality isn't that great and the water in this area is tannin stained.

Wow, great pics. Love all the turtles.
Sounds like someone emptied their fish tank. Sad.
I never heard or seen that bird, that's cool.

I zoomed in on the Midas.
They're my favorites.
Although becoming common a little south of hear, they are pretty rare in this county.
These guys are dark brown, red, orange, pink or yellow and sometimes a mix of more than one color.
