Any long distance hikers here?

I just saw the moose thread and it reminded me of my time thru-hiking the AT. I went GA->ME in 2005 (March-August). Anyone else done the AT? CDT? PCT? Every year in the spring/summer I keep thinking, "You know, now would be the perfect time to start a NOBO/SOBO AT trip..."

Oh, BTW, Chairman was my "trail name." Turns out there aren't many people willing to carry a chair with them for 2100 miles... their loss. I always had a dry place to sit, and I got a prestigious sounding nickname out of it!

Not me, I only walk when I have to, If i could I would drive everywhere, even to the bathroom.

I did ~45 miles of the John Muir Trail during summer 08. Not super long distance but still super fun!
