I am in Tacoma area, WA, United States. I now have five radiata. My oldest is about two. I do not have a permit. But, I am interested in hearing if anyone gets approved.

I have Indian stars that are beginning to produce.

I have a couple Burmese stars but they are just babies.

I haven't heard of any approvals this year - some renewals for very experienced breeders with a diverse genetic colony and some affiliation with an AZA institution.

@Sterant yeah I heard the same, I heard one dude got his re approved, but I also know a guy with decades of experience and AZA affiliation and is fighting to get his redone. This whole situation is such bs

I just acquired two baby radiated tortoises from someone local. I'm located in WA. You're welcome to add me to the list of radiated tortoise keepers :)

Hi,
I just got my first baby. Used to work for Cal Zoo/Zoo Med in the 80’s.
Been a long time since I’ve had a tortoise.
We had a Desert Tortoise as kids in the 70’s. This site is amazing for the resources.
Thank you!

Not a keeper, but seeking Radiated tortoises in North Carolina, in state only, no CBW permit (nor any intent to get one)

Scratch that! I now have 4 in North Carolina.
Do you keep radiata tortoises? There's been some interest to have a thread showing members who keep the radiata by state. Not just breeders, but keepers.
Do you mind adding me to the keeper list?
