I have this thing in my back yard and it looks like an alien thing in TV , so anyone know what is this , is it like some type of fungus or something ?

Yes, and it smells like death. I pick them and throw them away.
Yikes, it looks nasty. I guess that goes along with Yvonne's answer of smelling like death.
Look up stink horn fungus. There's a few different kinds, all smelling bad.
Too funny... last year after we put fresh mulch down all around coupled with good rain... we had some very obsene stink horn fungus popping up all over.

thanks for reply guys, this thing looks so crazy, but really cool that I never seen it before, after heavy rain last night it is off the ground, should be dead soon , lol
