Hi,

Came across an ad today for a calcium reptile substrate called Reptilite. It claims to be safe for tortoises because it is '100% edible and easily digestible' and spherical, to avoid scratching your pet (inside or out)

Contains argonite, stronium and magnesium - no silica or phosphorus

Has anyone had any experience with this? Would it be safe to use?

Not safe. Sand of any composition should never be used for housing any tortoise. It is also far too dry and will create desiccating conditions in an enclosure under a heat lamp.
