Aquarium heater controller with pig blanket?

It should work fine as long as it can handle the wattage. I couldn't see what its capacity is.

I don't know the difference. The thermostats purpose is to hold a steady temperature no?

I thought the manual rheostat was always on and you just pick the amount of power given to the pad... Unless yours turn on and off...

You can get a Zilla or Hydrofarm 1000 watt thermostat for about $30.

I don't know that anyone here is going to have first hand experience with the aquarium unit that you are using. Many of us have first hand experience using the Zilla and Hydrofarm units with pig blankets. I use the Kane mats.

The F911 controller shown in my link is a rheostat. You dial the number that maintains the temperature you're looking for and it turns the heat on and off to maintain that temp.

Don't even consider it for babies, though. Babies don't seem to understand that they can get off it when they get too hot.
