Are my sulcata tortoises’ shell okay? There are white rings on them!

Hello, everyone. I have 2 baby sulcatas about 2 months old. They are active and eat a lot. This evening when I took them to soak, I found white rings on their shells. Is this normal? I’m worried if this is an early sign of shell fungus or shell rot?

PS. I come from Thailand. I’m sorry for my poor English. I will try my best to explain the situation.

These babies live in an open closure (a tank) with peat moss mixed with soil organic substrate. Over all temperature of the tank is 25-26 degree Celsius and basking spot is 32-33.7 degree Celsius.12ABCDFE-0F89-45B0-BA67-65F062463F37.jpeg

Greetings....yes, the white “rings” are normal. There are many many posts here on TFO regarding these mysterious rings. Everyone agrees they are nothing to worry about & normal. Make sure you are soaking your torts daily.

Your English is fine. Your babies are beautiful. Please carefully read the care sheet Maro2Bear posted for you. Also hang around and ask questions, that is why we are here to help you raise beautiful healthy tortoises. Please notice that your hatchlings need a whole lot of humidity. I know your country is humid but make sure his enclosure holds at 85%
