Are oil heater good idea

hello i had came across a post a while ago n read how oil heaters are good source of heating for tortoise. Is it a good idea or is is dangerour to put in in the tortoise house? I came across one of the oil heater that i had in my garrage and would like to put it to use in the tortoise house but wasnt ahure if its safe

From what I've seen in tom's design it needs to be running on a thermostat set around 80F. Also with a wall keeping from direct contact to prevent burning.

They're very safe and energy efficient. I set mine on a thermostat at 90f in my tortoise house.

I use one in my greenhouse to keep the plants from freezing. It's a great heater and works well.
